Dad, husband, retired cell phone guy, sales manager, trainer, entrepreneur, builder, musician, certified Gen-X old guy, fraudulent fisherman, mini-farm animal rancher, Star Wars nerd, Eagle Scout, and now....alleged photographer.
I live in the heart of the California gold country, in the foothills of the spectacular Sierra Nevada Mountain range. My wife and I have been in love for nearly 20 years. We raised my 3 and her 3 kids together. We have 2 large boys, 2 medium boys and 2 small girls. Our youngest is in her mid-twenties. We've been empty nesters for about 6 years and have flourished while navigating life without any of those 6 kids looking to us for...everything? (lol)
I’ve decided that it’s time to give my passion for art and photography a front seat in my life. I've been a sideline (more like up in the bleachers) photographer for 40 years and have recently decided to put my energies into learning and sharing this artform.
I tend to look for the "art" in the scene or subject I'm looking at...texture, color, lesser-seen things are what interest me. As I grow and learn, of course I'll use the awe-inspiring natural world that I find just outside my door and up the road a bit, but I am forever looking for that image that will make my soul react in splendid, familiar and exciting new ways. I hope you like what you see and find something that tickles your brain in just the right way that makes you want to hang it somewhere in your life and that it will bring you that same feeling every time your eyes focus on it.
Come back often as I will update these galleries with my new images that inspire and stimulate my soul. Feel free to share your opinions and thoughts about the images you see here. I LOVE ALL feedback; good, bad, constructive and personal. This is what I believe ART is for…to connect our brains to the things that fill our hearts.

I offer any number of collections to print for any size commercial applications. Medical offices, hotel rooms and lobbies, restaurants and so much more! Talk to me about collection pricing, sizes and materials. These images are AMAZING on large metal and acrylic prints and also look great as a traditional canvas print hanging over a desk or credenza.
Want me to come take a picture of somewhere special? Reach out and lets see if we can work something out! Will I fly to Azerbaijan to take a picture of your cat in your bathtub? no...that's not gonna happen. But are you in Utah and you have a favorite tree that I can shoot in front of the setting sun? Heck yeah LETS GOOOO!!!
